Jason Uitvlugt
Jason Uitvlugt is a co-founder and field leader of Lengau. His love of the natural world and sharing it with others has brought him all over the planet. After college, Jason joined the Peace Corps and served as an environmental volunteer in the mountains of Bulgaria. After that he earned a graduate certificate in environmental education while teaching at a residential environmental learning center in Northern Minnesota.
Jason then moved to Seattle to pursue his Master in Teaching degree and has been teaching high school environmental science at on an island in the Puget Sound for almost ten years. Jason loves sharing adventures with high school students in Peru and South Africa; but it is wonderful to come home to his lovely supportive wife and two young children. Jason’s wife is on Lengau’s Board of Directors and his kids are budding naturalists who already share Jason’s passion for the world we live in.
